Jason Nelson

Jason is originally from Ventura, Calif. He came to Utah to attend BYU and liked it so much he decided to stay. Okay, the true story is that he met a pretty Utah girl shortly after arriving in Provo and liked her so much he decided to stay.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from BYU and started his career at the Daily Herald and managed the advertising sales team for the north Utah County weekly newspapers. After five years at the Daily Herald, he moved to KSL Radio, KSL.com and BYU Sports advertising. During his eight years at KSL, he was the BYU Sports sales director for the football and basketball broadcasts on KSL Radio.

During the KSL years, he took a brief hiatus to help a local company, BuilderFusion, start a national Parade of Homes magazine publishing division as the vice president of sales.

He recently left KSL to join the terrific team at Bennett Communications as advertising director and partner in a new ad agency: Swell Media, Inc.

Jason lives in Highland with his wife Karen, and four children. Besides his family, some of his passions are golf, advertising, road trips, BYU, and surfing back in his hometown . every chance he gets.
